Stuff a Firetruck" Food Drive is a Great Success

On Friday November 6th and Saturday November 7th, the staff of the South Fire District held a Stuff-a-Firetruck event at Stop and Shop on East Main St, to benefit the Amazing Grace Food pantry.

They collected over 20,000 food items and 160 turkeys. In addition to all of the food items, they were also able to raise $1,700 in cash and gift cards.

This is due entirely to the good will and compassion of everyone that came to Stop and Shop that weekend.

This was the single largest food drive in the history of the Amazing Grace Food Pantry.

The South Fire District would like to personally thank everyone that came out and donated to the event. It is because of your donations that local residents will have food available to them during the holiday season.
