Fire Commission Recognizes
Ann C. Salafia at Ceremony
At the September 11 South District Fire Commission meeting, Ann C. Salafia was recognized by Commission Chairman David Gallitto "for her continuous dedication and service to the South Fire District Office".
Ann has been the "go to person" for the district since 1986 working on and off supporting the tax office during busy times as well as difficult times when tax office staff has been on extended medical or maternity leaves. It is important that we recognize Ann for her continued commitment through both the good and bad times; Ann has always been here for the district. Although she will not be working a regular schedule, Ann will continue to play an important part in support of the tax office and the district.
Chairman Gallitto presented Ann with a plaque of thanks from the Commission. Ann thanked and recognized her love of the firefighters, added her thanks to the current Tax Collector, Iris Laurenza, and remembered our past Tax Collector, Pat Brown, who passed way this past June.
Ann attended the meeting with her husband and former long-time Commissioner Jesse Salafia.
